The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.

What You Learn

Learn to scuba dive with PADI. The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom ) to understand basic principles of scuba diving

Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills

Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!

If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.

Prerequisite

To enrol in the PADI Open Water Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must

Be 10 years or older (PADI e-Learning requires an extra registration step for students under 13 years due to international internet laws

For PADI Junior Open Water, you must be 10 years to 15 years

For PADI Open Water, you must be 15 years above

The Fun Part

Get Your PADI Open Water Diver scuba certification. The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

You can also complete your PADI Open Water Course with us as a referral from another dive centre. If you have completed your theory and confined water dives before coming out you only need to register for the Open Water dives. You will need to bring your referral paperwork with you.

Prior to taking part in any PADI dive training you are required to complete a dive medical questionnaire. This can be found at here

If you answer YES to any of the question please have a doctor complete the form before you travel. If you answer NO to all questions then doctors approval is not necessary.
